Ever Gaming

A gaming-themed video sharing web application. Users can search for gaming walkthroughs, tutorials, and streams utilizing Google's YouTube API; and build various playlists to share with their followers.

Built with React, Redux, and Ruby on Rails, this application incorporated embedded video streaming, user profile creation, token authentication validated in a custom Rails API that persists in Local Storage, and the ability to follow other users on the application.

Careers.MN

Careers.MN allows users to take control of their education! After completing a 30-question quiz, users can search through careers, colleges, and degree programs based on their career recommendations. Users can look through programs based on future salary, growth potential, and various other parameters. This allows users to find a job catered to their needs, or even decide on a major. Using location services you can also choose the path with the most growth in your Minnesota region.

My role in this application was implementing the front-end in React Native, with others on the team focusing on complex database implementations in Django.

Mommy Access

Mommy Access is an iOS application built natively in Swift. This application is a data encryption service, utilizing Nextcloud's cloud encryption software. With a Nextcloud subscription, the idea behind this application was to allow mothers to securely store videos and photos of their newborns. This was the first native iOS application I successfully submitted to the App Store.

Ryde

Ryde is an iOS application built natively in Swift. This ride-sharing application allows users to sign up as drivers or passengers, and book trips. Ryde includes user profile creation & authentication, payment processing with Stripe, chat messaging, location services, as well as many other features.

About

With 3+ years of previous experience in iOS and Android Development, I have most recently made a transition from mobile to full-stack web development utilizing JavaScript ES6, React, Redux, SQL, and Ruby on Rails.

I was first exposed to the basics of programming at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with my first exposure consisting of simple Java OOP Concepts for homework. However, a curiosity of mine immediately grew into a yearning to learn how I can create something of my own. I started to look into how to make an app for my phone, and grew into a self-taught mobile developer. Since then, that curiosity has transcended into a career and passion for creative problem solving, and creating applications. Ultimately, I love to work on projects where I can utilize my skills to help implement creative solutions, as well as continue to grow in my skill set.
